Buying your nakedpassport is really simple.

1. Figure out how many places you wish to visit. See our suggested itinerary for ideas.
2. Select the best pass from ‘Buy your pass’ page and fill in all the details.
3. Once you have paid you will receive a Login reference number and a Password which you can use to sign in and book your individual trips on the website.

To book trips using your passport

1. Log in (top right of website) - the password is case sensitive.
2. Search for your trip using the booking form on the left
3. Select the trip you want and hit the “Confirm” button
4. Note down your reference number which you will need to board the bus

Where can I travel with Nakedpassport and how?
You can travel in both North and South Island on the Nakedbus.com network with your passport. Departures must be booked on www.nakedpassport.com in order to receive a booking confirmation and reference number, this is subject to availability.

What is a trip?
One trip is as near or far as you can book through our website, e.g. Auckland to Wellington is one trip, and Auckland to Hamilton is also one trip. To find out the places which you can book as one trip please use the timetable page on our website. Find out where we go and whether you can travel in one day through the drop down menus. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to hop on and hop off between the destinations.

Trips may be booked between any two points in BOTH directions once only – this means that you can only travel directly between two places once only. E.g. you can travel from Auckland directly to Wellington, and then back from Wellington to Auckland directly. But you cannot then travel directly back from Auckland to Wellington (but you can do it in smaller segments using more trips). Please note that trips cannot be used to contribute towards any Add Ons.

Can I cancel my booking?
Trips can be cancelled more than 24 hours before the bus departure time. Note: you must cancel your booking on the nakedpassport.com website yourself with your login before the 24 hour cut off time. Failure to cancel will result in the trip being forfeited. Your nakedpassport is non-refundable.

Can I show up to any bus once I have bought my passport?
No, once you have bought your passport and any add-on’s, you will need to login to the nakedpassport.com website and book your trips and add-on’s. You can do this at any stage within 12 months of the date your purchased the passport. Once you have booked, you will be given a reference number for the trip which you will need to board the bus or take part in the activity.

How long is the passport valid for?
The pass is valid for 12 months. The first date of travel must commence within 12 months of the purchase of the passport.

Can I use my passport for an activity/tour?
No, you will need to purchase activities/tours as add-on’s when you purchase your passport. When you do this it discounts the price of your passport. Discount amounts vary between activities.

Do I have to purchase the Add Ons when I purchase the passport?
Yes, if you would like to get the discount off your passport, you will have to purchase the add ons at the same time that you purchase your passport. Remember your nakedpassport trips cannot be used to purchase any Add Ons, you will need to add them individually into the shopping basket at the time of purchasing.

Can I use my passport on the ferry?
The Cook Strait and Coromandel ferry isn’t included in your passport. You will need to purchase the ferry through nakedbus.com.

What if I need more trips than a passport allows?
If you need more than a passport allows, but not enough to push you to the next passport, you can book single sector journeys on the nakedbus.com website. Please note, it may be the best value to push up to the next passport, so please check the prices before you decide this, and on nakedbus.com, the earlier you book, the less you pay, so make sure you book in early to get the best rate.
