How It Works

Steps to booking your pass:
1. Choose the number of trips that you wish to take. See our route map for places that we travel.
2. Purchase the pass that best fits the number of trips that you wish to take i.e. 3 trips, 5 trips etc.
3. Once you have purchased your pass you will be emailed through a Passport Reference Number and Password.
4. Click on the ‘log in’ link on the top right corner of our website, log in using the details that you were emailed.
5. To make a booking use the booking form on the left hand side of the home page to find the trip that you wish to book. To board a bus you must be booked onto a service, with a valid booking reference number.
You can make a booking right up until 5 minutes before departure for major destinations. However, we strongly suggest that you book as early as possible to ensure that you don’t miss out on the journey you want
6. The search results page will bring up all available journeys, select the trip that you wish to take.
7. You will be provided with an individual reference number for each trip that you book. The reference number is all that you need to show the driver when you board the bus. Try to book as early as possible to ensure that you don’t miss out on a seat on the day that you wish to travel.
8. Enjoy your trip!

Things you need to know:
1. The pass is valid for 12 months. The first date of travel must commence within 12 months of the purchase of the passport. The pass is valid for 12 months from the first booking that you take.
2. Every nakedpassport purchased is non-refundable.
3. Departures must be booked on your nakedpassport account (www.nakedpassport.com) in order to receive a booking confirmation and reference number, this is subject to availability.
4. Cancellation of departures must be made at least 24 hours before the original time of the bus departure. Failure to cancel will result in the trip being forfeited. If a future booking is cancelled at least 24 hours prior to departure, a trip will be added to your trip balance so you can rebook for the correct journey/date.
5. Each pass can be used for the number of trips specified. Trips may be booked between any two zones in BOTH direction once only (including our Unlimited Pass).
6. The Cook Strait ferry between Wellington and Picton and Auckland to Coromandel isn’t included in our passes. This ferry can be booked through www.nakedbus.com.
