Auckland to Great Barrier Island Ferry
On the outer edge of the Hauraki Gulf, Great Barrier Island is home to some of New Zealand’s most pristine beaches and native bush. It is nature’s playground for outdoor activity with more than 100 kms of walking tracks, great surf beaches, tramping, diving, fishing, kayaking and mountain biking opportunities. Make your own adventure.
For assistance with booking your accommodation and transfers on the island and if you would like book your car on the ferry, if you wish to take it with you, call 0800 7325465 – please advise you will book (or have booked) your ferry through nakedbus.com.
All sailings arrive at Tryphena Wharf which is at the southern end of the island. Having your own transport is highly desirable if you want to make the most of your trip. You may either take your own car, hire a rental car or use a mountain bike (if you want some really good exercise!). If you are travelling without a car, we strongly recommend you book a transfer to your accommodation for when you arrive. If you need assistance with this, call 0800 7325465.
