Is the nakedbus.com site secure?

Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

Yes, we use 128 bit security for a completely secure site so you can rest assured that your payment is secure. We use iframes for the payment window, so the padlock and “https” in the address bar, which usually indicate a secure site, do not appear. The iframe page is HTTPS, which is a version of HTTP that includes data encryption for security, but the outside page is not.

If you wish to confirm this, you can open the iframe page outside the frame. To to this in your Firefox browser, right-click on the payment frame, and choose This Frame -> Show Only This Frame, and it looks like this:

Why didn’t I get a txt message confirmation?

Friday, July 20th, 2007

if you ordered a txt message when you booked you should receive your txt message within a few seconds. Sometimes this does not happen.

The reasons for this are as follows:

- you may have entered the wrong mobile number when you booked
- there may have been a problem on the mobile network outside our control (e.g. Vodafone / Telecom).

Unfortunately we cannot resend the text message or refund your text message fee in these cases.

Why is my travel day not showing?

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

The trip is either not available for that particular day, or we are revising some journeys and will put them up on the site soon. If the trip does not appear in the search results it is not available for booking at this time.

Can I get another confirmation email sent to me?

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

A: Yes, I can do that for you now.

Find booking in call centre search page using customer’s booking name or email address. Verify the customer’s email address shown is correct and where they wish the confirmation email to be sent. First read them their complete booking reference numbers (so they definitely have it), then click on SEND under “confirmation” at very right of booking line. Remind them it may go into their spam box.

Important to Remember: Customers can’t board the bus without their booking reference number

Note: One of two things could be the case here:
1. The booking was not successful.
A: In order to complete bookings, you must click on the CLICK TO RECEIVE YOUR CONFIRMATION button after you’ve entered your credit card details. The system automatically sends out a confirmation email to the email address provided.
2. The confirmation email was not delivered for an unknown reason. Either, in spam box, or customer entered incorrect email address.
A: I will check your booking now and re-send your confirmation email.
Find booking in call centre search page using customer’s booking name or email address. Give customer their booking reference number over the phone. Verify customer’s email address shown is correct and where they wish the confirmation email to be sent. Click on SEND under “confirmation” at very right of booking line.

Why are there no black “nakedbus” buses?

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

Some of our buses are black with the nakedbus.com logo, but nakedbus.com uses the services of several high quality private operators as well. When you book you receive an email with full details of who the operator for your trip/s is/are and a picture of the bus that will pick you up.

How do I book for a date further in advance?

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

Sorry, you can only book on the dates shown in the booking form. This is to allow us to change times for operational requirements.
If a return trip falls outside this timeframe, you will need to book two single bus trips, the return bus trip at a later date. All nakedbus.com® trips are one-way, so you are not missing out on a discount.

Why doesn’t the booking form work?

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

If you are having problems with the booking form please follow these instructions:

Problem: Can’t enter a “travel to” destination

Solution:

1. upgrade your browser to the latest version (we support IE6 +, Firefox 1.5+, and recent versions of Safari).
2. enable javascript.

You can enable javascript as follows:

  • Firefox 1.xx: Tools -> Options -> Web Features : “Enable JavaScript”
  • Firefox 2.xx: Tools -> Options -> Content : “Enable JavaScript”
  • Internet Explorer: Tools -> Internet Options… -> Security -> Custom Level… : “Scripting” : “Active scripting” : “Enable”

Problem: Booking form keeps logging out when I try to search

Solution: Please ensure that you have cookies ENABLED. This website uses cookies to store details of the trip(s) you are searching for. At the very least you’ll need to allow cookies for the domains ibooking.nakedbus.com and nakedbus.com.

To enable cookies:

  • in Firefox go to Tools -> Privacy, and tick “Accept cookies from sites”
  • in Internet Explorer go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Privacy and set the slider on “medium”

You should then be able to use the booking form.

Problem: My travel date is not available

Solution: We release seats for a limited set of future dates (the dates that bookings are available vary from time to time). Please come back later and you will be able to book (sometimes we reduce this time period if we are changing timetables).

Please note that some services do not run every day. See nakedbus.com/bus-timetables for more details.
If you are having other booking problems, please contact us.

Problem: My destination does not show up in the “travel to” box

Solution: nakedbus.com does not have a same day service between these two locations. You will have to make and overnight stop.

Please note that we do not sell ferry tickets so you will have to make your own arrangements for the ferry between Picton and Wellington
