I don’t have a credit card

Monday, May 25th, 2009

There are two options: real time internet banking (POLi) or pago.

More details on real time internet banking

Pago:

Now you don’t need a credit card to book online AND there is no need to wait for funds to clear. That’s right, you can have a same-day confirmed booking AND pay cash! Here’s how:

If you are 14 years or over and have a New Zealand bank account, open a Pago wallet online here and top it up straight away at a any branch of the ASB Bank.

  • Register for your wallet at www.pago.co.nz
  • Find an ASB Bank branch near you here.
  • Ask the person at the ASB counter to deposit the cash into 12-3456-0900123-022 (the Pago holding account) and
  • Put your Pago wallet name in the particulars field (this is how we know which wallet to put the money into).
  • Now you can go to the nakedbus.com website to book and pay using pago immediately using the money you deposited.

Need help with this? Call 0800 GO PAGO (0800 40 7246) Or go to www.pago.co.nz

Can I book a group and get a discount?

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

No. nakedbus.com already offers everyone the lowest city to city bus fares in the country so we are not able to discount these any further.

Groups are more than welcome if you can get the number of seats you need on the trips/dates you need, but you will need to book this in the normal way online. Just set ‘Passengers’ to the number you need and have a fun trip together!

Why didn’t I get a txt message confirmation?

Friday, July 20th, 2007

if you ordered a txt message when you booked you should receive your txt message within a few seconds. Sometimes this does not happen.

The reasons for this are as follows:

- you may have entered the wrong mobile number when you booked
- there may have been a problem on the mobile network outside our control (e.g. Vodafone / Telecom).

Unfortunately we cannot resend the text message or refund your text message fee in these cases.

Why is my travel day not showing?

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

The trip is either not available for that particular day, or we are revising some journeys and will put them up on the site soon. If the trip does not appear in the search results it is not available for booking at this time.

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

If the connection is guaranteed, you book it normally be entering

- where you want to start
- where you want to finish

The system will show you all the options including guaranteed connections. In this case the second bus is guaranteed to wait for the first bus. In order to be guaranteed, you must book the trip straight through and NOT book separate trips.
if it is not a guaranteed connection, we cannot guarantee that the second bus will wait if the first bus is delayed, and there will be no refund for missed connections.

Why do I have to pay for this 0900 call?

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

We have an 0900 number in order to reduce our costs so that we can offer lower fares to our customers.

99% of our customers do not need to contact us by phone, and we do not wish to penalise them by increasing the fares to pay for a call centre, when all the information on our service can be found on the website.

Upon calling our 0900 number there is a message provided stating the price of the call per minute and an option for customers to hang up at this stage if they do not wish to pay for the call.

We also have a free email service. The contact form can be found at www.nakedbus.com/faq/

Customers are only charged when the call is answered.

How do I book a bus ticket with internet banking?

Monday, July 16th, 2007

You have to purchase your tickets using the “Pay by Internet banking” button AFTER you have transferred the money by Internet Banking! Don’t forget to deposit enough money to cover the 70c booking fee!
Research your journey(s) online at www.nakedbus.com in order to estimate the cost of your trip.

Set up nakedbus as a bill payment payee. If you are with one of the affiliated banks (see below), you can do this online by searching for the word “nakedbus”. If you are with another bank you will need to set up nakedbus.com manually using the account number 03-0104-0394083-01. For phone banking, make a one-off phone call to your bank. The bank will ask for your email address and nakedbus 6-digit member number.

The affiliated banks are:
ANZ
ASB
Bank Direct
HSBC
Kiwi Bank
National Bank
PSIS
Southland Building Society
Taranaki Savings Bank (TSB)
Westpac

Make a payment to nakedbus. The minimum amount you can deposit is $10, but don’t worry – any left over money will still remain in your nakedrewards account for use when purchasing your next nakedbus journeys. It is wise to deposit more than the price of your future tickets in case they go up during the time between depositing your money and booking your tickets. The price of nakedbus.com tickets depends on how early you book. If other people book during the time your payment is being processed by the bank the prices will go up.

Enter the following information:

Write your 6-digit nakedbus member number in the reference box (this is so nakedbus knows who has deposited the cash!). Do not enter anything else in this field or your payment will be delayed. Only enter six digits.

Put your email address in the Code box (don’t worry if it doesn’t all fit – put in as much as you can fit), and

Put your last name and initials in the Particulars box. For example:

Details to appear on their statement:

Thursday 10am Friday
Friday 10am Saturday
Saturday 10am Tuesday
Sunday 10am Tuesday

If any of these days is a public holiday, there will be a delay of a further day.
