We have been delighted by the response to the launch of nakedbus.com. With practically no advertising we have received well over 3,000 hits to the website in the first 48 hours, and it shows no sign of stopping. Visitors are staying and looking around as well – an average of 8 pages on each visit. We are getting an increasing number of return visitors as well.

What is even more exciting is watching the bookings come in. Even though the low cost city to city service has not officially started (our network starts on October 9) we have already had several hundred bookings, when we expected most people to wait and see the service in action.

We do actually have a limited “beta” service running between Auckland, Hamilton and Rotorua, and we are pleased to announce that our very first nakedbus.com travellers travelled on Saturday. The very first passenger was my son, who coincidentally travelled from Auckland to Hamilton on that day. He was proudly wearing his nakedbus.com tee shirt.

Thanks also to those who have given feedback on nakedbus.com’s service. It is great to hear your views. The feedback has been 100% positive so far – but we are more than happy to hear about any problems as well.
