pago around NZ with nakedbus.com

20 December 2007

Please note that pago is a payment solution from ASB. If you have any problems with pago, please contact pago or ASB.
Remember the bad old days when you had to carry cash around if you wanted to buy things – well now you don’t need to. pago is a virtual “wallet” that you can transfer money to from any NZ bank account. Once money is in your pago wallet, you can use it to buy things online, or at selected retailers. You can also use pago to give money to friends – instantly! All you need is a mobile phone or email address and a New Zealand bank account.

pago is brand new in New Zealand and is backed by ASB, so you know your money is safe. Nakedbus.com is only the second retailer to sign up to pago and we are delighted to help pioneer the new cashless society. pago is available right now! If you haven’t signed up to pago yet do it here.

pago Q&A
Why should I use pago?
pago is great if you don’t have a credit card, because once you have money in your pago wallet you can pay for things instantly and securely (no credit card or account numbers!)– so it’s much easier to use than internet banking. It also works like cash except you can use it to buy things over the internet.

How do I use Pago to grab a nakedbus.com deal?
Remember, you need to open a Pago wallet first at www.pago.co.nz and then top it up from your internet banking. If you don’t bank with ASB or BankDirect, your money will take 24hrs to get to your Pago wallet. Once there your payments work in realtime. If you need money to get your wallet urgently you can make a deposit at the counter of any available ASB Bank branch. Find out how here.
What does pago cost to use?
There is currently no charge to use pago however you may incur text message charges from your mobile network.

Is my transaction secure?
Yes, pago is very secure. You will be sent an authorisation code by text or email to enter into the website – so only you will be able to use your pago wallet. Additionally because pago is part of ASB you can be sure that they have built in more security measures than you can shake a stick at!

How easy is it to use pago?
Once you are signed up it is extremely easy – here at nakedbus we have tested it, and found it is easier than credit cards or internet banking as a payment method – so we are glad to recommend it.

How do I use pago at nakedbus.com?
There is a “Pay by pago” button next to the credit card button. Just click on that and follow the simple instructions – you must be a pago member to pay by pago.

NB: pago is NOT internet banking – if you have any problems using pago, please contact pago directly.
